Upgrades

License Upgrades

A License Upgrade is an upgrade of license level from an Individual License to a Site License and/or from a Binary License to a Source Code License.   J2PrinterWorks 4.x customers can purchase a License Upgrade for their current J2PrinterWorks 4.x license for the difference in the price shown in the two tables above. 

In addition, any licensee of an older version of J2PrinterWorks (J2PrinterWorks 3.x, J2PrinterWorks 2.x, J2TextPrinter 1.x, or J2TablePrinter 1.x) who purchases a License Upgrade as specified above will also receive a free upgrade to the current 4.x version of J2PrinterWorks, including a free year of Annual Maintenance.

Version Upgrades

A Version Upgrade is an upgrade from any older version of J2PrinterWorks (e.g. 3.x, 2.x, ...) to the current 4.x version of J2PrinterWorks.  For J2PrinterWorks customers who have Annual Maintenance currently in effect, all version upgrades are free of charge.  In addition, any customer with an older version of J2PrinterWorks (e.g. 3.x, 2.x, ...) who purchases a License Upgrade and/or Edition Upgrade (see above) will receive a free upgrade to the current 4.x version of J2PrinterWorks, including the accompanying free year of Annual Maintenance.

J2PrinterWorks 4.x customers who choose not to renew their Annual Maintenance after the first free year or customers of older versions of J2PrinterWorks who do not have Annual Maintenance will have to purchase a new license to obtain any future versions of J2PrinterWorks.  Previous J2PrinterWorks customers without Annual Maintenance currently receive a modest (~25%) discount when purchasing new versions of J2PrinterWorks, please visit our Kagi.com on-line store for details. 


Annual Maintenance

Customers who purchase (or make a purchased upgrade to) any license or edition of J2PrinterWorks 4.x will receive in addition one free year of Annual Maintenance.  Annual Maintenance entitles the licensee to free technical support by email as well as notification and free downloads of current and all new major and minor releases of J2PrinterWorks during this one year term, see "Technical Support" for details.  After the first free year, Annual Maintenance is renewable on an annual basis.  Pricing for Annual Maintenance depends on your particular license level and edition, as follows:

Customers whose Annual Maintenance has recently expired can still purchase an Annual Maintenance renewal, but in this case its start date will be retroactive to their Annual Maintenance expiration date (i.e. as though you had renewed your Annual Maintenance on time).

Order fulfillment of purchased item(s) is by electronic download from the Wildcrest Associates web site.  Shipment on physical media is also available at any time for a charge of $25 per copy. Shipment is on CD-ROM. Includes media, shipping, & handling.

Receiving and registering your purchase
After purchasing either J2PrinterWorks Complete, the J2PrinterWorks Text Edition, or the J2PrinterWorks Table Edition, you will download a copy of the full J2PrinterWorks product distribution (.zip) file.  You will also receive with your order confirmation email a serial number that lets you to enable the full J2PrinterWorks product or the Text Edition or Table Edition subset you have purchased.  KEEP A COPY OF YOUR SERIAL NUMBER, AS IT IS REQUIRED TO ENABLE THE APPROPRIATE J2PRINTERWORKS PRODUCT FEATURES IN THE PROGRAMS YOU WRITE AS WELL AS TO ALLOW YOU TO DOWNLOAD CURRENT AND NEW VERSIONS OF J2PRINTERWORKS DURING YOUR ANNUAL MAINTENANCE TERM..

Receiving your upgrade purchase
All J2PrinterWorks upgrade purchases require us to perform a manual verification step against your current registration.  In order to do this we need your name, postal address, email address, and current serial number(s).  Verification usually takes 1-2 business days from the time we receive notification of your purchase.  You will then receive by email a new serial number and instructions on how to perform your upgrade.
